ShanaDec19693yrs2.jpgI was born and raised in Magnolia, Ohio the third child of David and Nancy Greer, I graduated from Sandy Valley High and after attending a few years in college, enlisted in the United States Air Force wShana11.jpghere I became an Air Traffic Controller. I spent the next 8 years in Texas, Mississippi, Philippines, and Arkansas. After leaving the USAF, I graduated with an Associate Degree in Paralegal and soon after, my road took me to another path.
I have a sixteen year-old son, 'which is practically 18, which is practically 21, which is almost 26 Mom'. Who doesn't think that way when they are "EEEK!", a teenager? A car freak who never fails to point out a car while we are driving and tell me each and EVERY aspect of the vehicle and why he has to have THAT car. Of course, each time he spots a different car, it's the same thing over again and he has to have THAT car too. Then there are the constant worries over his stunts on his bike and his skateboards. His body is now an array of green, black and blue, with a few bumps and scrapes from his most recent attempt at being "Evil Erik". And the constant "Mom, feel this, can you feel the bump - Cool" How come boys ENJOY the fact that their bodies are injured? Is it possible to actually feel hair turning gray? I have contemplated going back to Huggies for extra padding (or relief for me when I watch him), seems so much better when the diaper was there to help the ease of the falls. AND, I chose this? Wouldn't trade him for anything. (Except a REALLY good hair color kit which as you can tell, I found!) With Erik about to travel on the 'speedway of idiots" oops, I mean, highway, the gray hair is emerging faster and it doesn't help when Erik sees one and thinks it funny to pluck it. What? Yes, I have told him, pluck ONE and three grow back. I love his humor and I can't wait until he starts balding.

I can't forget my other three kids, Biscuit (the dog), Cera and Rocket (the cats) who follow me around as if they were ACTUAL children. But, then again, I think they might be as the two little sisters (cat fights) start, there is the BIG sister (the dog), trying to break it all up. Have you ever seen a cat's hair stand straight out in fright? Well, I have, and it's absolutely hilarious!

I am currently living in Colorado capturing smiles and God's beauty.
